Description

Открытая в 1977 году, гостиница Kazakhstan стала одним из ключевых архитектурных проектов своего времени и символом Алматы, Казахстана и всего Центрально-Азиатского региона. Проект, созданный архитекторами Ю. Г. Ратушным, Л. Л. Ухоботовым и их командой, объединил эстетику позднего модернизма и инженерную смелость.

Высотное здание было спроектировано с расчётом на 9-балльную сейсмоустойчивость, что сделало его уникальным достижением советской инженерной школы. Эллиптический силуэт и золотая корона превратили отель в узнаваемый ориентир не только для города, но и для страны.

Благодаря своему расположению и масштабности, отель на протяжении десятилетий оставался важной точкой деловых, культурных и общественных событий.
