Patagonia: mountains of Argentina

Day 1. Arrival in Buenos Aires Arrival in Buenos Aires, organizational meeting with participants. Rest after a long flight, and then a walk through the evening Buenos Aires. All main tourist sites are located in the historical center of the city, in the communes of Montserrat and San Telmo, as well as in the Recoleta area. If you have the opportunity, you can fly to Buenos Aires a day early - it is a wonderful city for walking, where there is a lot of interesting things to do. And, of course, in this case you will have more time to relax after a long transatlantic flight.

Day 4: Mount Fitzroy El Chaltén is located in the heart of Argentina&#39;s Los Glaciares National Park, where most of the beautiful routes begin. Perhaps the most important of them, the calling card of Argentine Patagonia, is the trek to Mount Fitzroy. This is where we will head on our first sailing day. In just a couple of hours, around the bend a majestic panorama will appear in front of you. The rocky massif of Fitzroy is striking in its scale. Approaching the mountain through a beautiful exotic forest, we go out to the Capri Lagoon, where we will take a short break. We then continue our journey to Laguna de Los Tres, two blue lakes at the foot of Fitzroy, located at different levels of altitude. It was here that hundreds of magnificent photographs were taken; world-famous photographers come here for inspiration. Now you too can capture this incredible panorama.

Day 7. Lake Pehoe Today we will visit the incredible Lake Pehoe. This lake, surrounded by mountains and fed by glaciers, is famous for its beautiful sunsets and sunrises. A strong, almost stormy wind that often arises here lifts thousands of sprays from the lake, which fly up over the water surface and burn golden in the rays of the dawn sun, creating a semblance of sparkling haze over the water. Here you can feel all the power and mystery of the nature of this distant region. We cross the lake on a catamaran and return to the campsite. We will walk along the shore of the lake and sit on the shore and then go back. Next, we will see the Condor lookout, from where we will see Mount Los Cuernos, as if changing its shape depending on the lighting, as well as dozens of lakes with water of all shades. And, of course, a large number of other beautiful viewpoints await us.

Day 9. Puerto Natales - El Calafate After breakfast we go on a short but very picturesque walk to a small cape nearby. We will go up and admire the local scenery and the bright blue shades of the water. Then we pack our things and leave Puerto Natales and Torres Del Paine Park, which, we are sure, will irrevocably captivate you with the beauty of its nature by this point. We are waiting for a transfer to El Calafate, back to Argentina. In the evening we are going to have a farewell dinner.

Day 2. Buenos Aires - El Calafate Flight to El Calafate - a small Argentine town, which is a strategic point between two stunning natural reserves: Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares, where our trekking will take place. In the evening at sunset we go to a panoramic restaurant overlooking the blue lake of El Calafate.

Day 5. El Chaltén - Puerto Natales Our destination for today is Chilean Puerto Natales. This is a cute fishing town located on the shore of a beautiful fjord. It serves as the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. There we will rest after a long journey, explore the city center, exchange currency and walk around the atmospheric port part of the city. In the evening we go to the best restaurant in this town, where they offer both fish and delicious Chilean meat.

Day 10. El Calafate - Buenos Aires We carry out a return flight to Buenos Aires! The noisy and warm Argentine metropolis with its many beautiful streets awaits us again. Here you will have a great opportunity to enjoy all the fruits of civilization: long promenades through the exotic capital of Argentina, restaurants with the best steaks in the world, attractions and much more. The city has many parks, museums and historical districts, so believe me, Byres has a lot to offer. For example, a classic tango show.

Day 3. Perito Moreno Glacier Today we will go to one of the most famous places in all of Argentina - the majestic Perito Moreno glacier, which delights travelers from all over the world with its scale and fabulous light blue color of the ice. The glacier is melting and is constantly replenished from the mountains towering above it; every hour and a half you can hear a rumble here and you can see how giant pieces of ice break off and noisily fall into the water. You will remember this spectacle for a long time. Then we will move to the pier, from where you can go on a cruise along the glacier (optional) - you will be picked up by a catamaran, on which you will cross the lake and land on the western part of the glacier, and then return back. Next we will move to the next point of our route - the small town of El Chaltén, surrounded on all sides by mountains and green valleys. The landscapes here in some places resemble Switzerland, in others Norway, and in others even the Himalayas.

Day 6. Torres del Paine Early in the morning we leave Puerto Natales in the direction of the Torres del Paine Nature Reserve, which contains one of the best hiking routes in the world. Fantastic mountains, incredible colored lakes, forests, blue glaciers, rich flora and fauna make this trek one of the most picturesque in South America. In our author&#39;s version of this route, we will visit all the most interesting locations of the park and see an incredible number of beautiful views. On the first day we will visit all the key locations along the Peine River. Turquoise lakes, picturesque forests, endless fields with grazing herds of horses, rugged snow-capped mountains with glaciers, cascading waterfalls and much, much more await you. It will be a long and very sightseeing day. We will travel through most of the Torres del Paine Park and see all the most interesting places in the reserve.

Day 8. Torres Towers Today we will visit perhaps the most famous attraction in these parts - the Torres Towers. We get up early and set out on the road with light backpacks - after walking for some time along a picturesque valley, we will soon climb into a dense forest, which will climb higher and higher along the slope into the mountains. Having overcome this climb, in about 3 hours we will reach a plateau, from where we will see the main attraction of the national park - the Towers, three huge stone pillars, similar to the horns of a strange animal, which, like in a fairy tale, are located in front of a sparkling lake. The park is named after these towers (translated as “torres” - tower, “paine” - blue). In the evening we return to Puerto Natales.
